How we research and write
The rules behind our journal and our research, so you can judge what you read.
Short answerMM², the web studio of MM2 Media in The Gardens, Dubai, United Arab Emirates publishes its own research and practical articles for small businesses in the UAE. Figures come from our own study or from named sources, every article lists its sources and the date it was checked, and we correct mistakes openly.
Who writes
The journal and the study are written and published by MM², the web studio of MM2 Media in The Gardens, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We build websites for restaurants, hotels, clinics, salons, estate agents and gyms, and we write about the questions that come up in that work.
Our interest is plain: we sell websites. Each article says so and links to the matching offer. Nobody pays us to mention a business, a product or a service.
Where our figures come from
- Our own research. The study of restaurant websites in the UAE publishes its method, the date of every check and its limits on the same page.
- Official sources. Rules come from the authority that sets them, such as the Dubai Health Authority, the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Dubai Land Department or the Department of Economy and Tourism, or from established UAE news outlets reporting on them.
- Named, linked and dated. Every outside source is listed under the article. A figure we cannot source does not go on the page.
How we check
Before an article goes live, every figure is compared with its source and every rule with the authority’s own page or a report about it. The date at the top of each article says when that check was last made. Rules in the UAE change, so where they matter the article says whom to ask, and nothing we write replaces legal advice.
How we use AI
We use AI tools, including Claude by Anthropic, to research, draft and check texts. Facts, figures and sources are checked against the original before anything is published, and MM² is responsible for every published word.
What we do not do
- We do not publish invented reviews, awards, customer numbers or quotes.
- Example businesses on this website are invented to show our designs, and every one of them says so on its page.
- We do not use stock photos of people or dishes as if they belonged to a real business.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, tell us on WhatsApp or by phone at +971 58 502 3314. We correct it, change the update date on the article and add a note when the change affects what the article says.
For journalists and researchers
You may quote our study with a link to it. We share figures by emirate and category on request, and we never share data about individual businesses.
